Maria Paola is from Friuli and she is very tied to her homeland, even though her heart and work led her to live in Milan, where she met Filippo, a native Milanese. They wanted to introduce their guests to the beauty of Friuli and we planned a destination wedding right in this beautiful border region, Friuli Venezia Giulia. They chose to celebrate in the hills of Carso, with a spectacular view of the vineyards.
I never thought I would have to be prepared for a plan B due to fire, instead of rain... and instead a bad fire, which broke out just days before, devastated a part of the Carso, the Karst region of Trieste. After some initial fear, the wind thankfully helped us and let us enjoy the beautiful view, allowing us to dine on the terrace.
