I’m Silvia Calligaro, a wedding planner based in Pordenone, Italy. My suitcase is always packed, ready to travel to the perfect location for your wedding and organise your unique event, down to the finest detail.
I became a wedding planner after acquiring significant experience as an events planner and display designer, thanks to my passion for design and crafty creativity.
Passionate about all things vintage and DIY, and with a degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic University in Milan, I have sidelined my first love – design – after several years in the furniture industry, to concentrate fully on events planning, particularly weddings, under the name of Chapeau.
Organising a wedding allows me to put my skills and talents to best use; coming up with a theme and seeing it through, down to the very last detail, connecting with people, turning their dreams into a reality and exceeding their expectations – this is what gives me the energy and drive to do my job every day.
I was born in Pordenone, a city on the border between the unassuming and hard-working region of Friuli and the exuberant, entrepreneurial region of Veneto: this is the mix I belong to, while also drawing inspiration every day from abroad.
Curious and creative, I look for inspiration in my everyday life and I use Pinterest to gather together everything I like. I love reading, keeping up to date with the most recent trends, studying manual and creative techniques, and I’m good at listening to people and interpreting their wishes.
I believe you can get to know someone better if you know their tastes. So, here are some of the things I love, both in my private and professional life, in no particular order:

To interpret and plan your wedding in the best way possible, I need to know what makes you tick. Shall we begin?
I love unconventional weddings and I always try to give an original touch to any event, even those with a more traditional format.
My job is to help the bride and groom plan their wedding, keeping an eye on the budget but taking care of the details, accompanying the couple step by step as their right-hand woman, offering valuable advice.
The challenge is to create an original style for every wedding, tailored to the couple’s personality.
I’ve designed and implemented a wide range of events, each one completely different to the last, starting with the venue for the ceremony itself: from the grand hall of a glamorous hotel in Venice to a modern web TV recording studio; from an ultra-elegant 18th century venetian villa to a rustic country farmhouse with guests gathered around a roaring fire.
Over the years, I have specialised in beach weddings particularly, held in romantic and remote spots reachable by boat where you can marry at sunset, or on a bustling foreshore where you can celebrate in the sun amid deckchairs and beach umbrellas.
We work to come up with your unique and original event together, whatever the place or kind of ceremony you have in mind. A touching religious service, a modest civil wedding or a moving symbolic ceremony to be celebrated with your closest friends?
